The codes for the Xbox One to control other devices are set by Microsoft, which is also the case with other universal remote controls. Each IR command of the Denon receiver, such as Power On, responds to a specific IR frequency and there are many individual IR frequencies associated with controlling the various functions of the receiver. When using universal controllers, such as a cable remote, TV remote, or in this case the Xbox One, you are able to control multiple functions of another product by having all of these IR commands assigned to a preset code provided by the remote's manufacturer. We do not provide these preset codes as each manufacturer uses their own code database for their remotes.
For example, to control a Denon receiver for a 'brand A' cable box, you would use the preset code from the cable remote's manual. This preset code may be a 3 or 4 digit number, but it is determined by the cable or remote manufacturer, not by Denon. It is entirely up to the manufacturer of the remote whether they will control certain functions of the receiver or control our product at all.
Most Denon receivers operate using the same basic commands for Power On/Off, Volume Up/Down, and Source. (CBL/SAT) If your specific model is not listed, you may have success with the preset codes for other Denon models. However, some specific functions of your particular model may not be controlled if it was not included in the remote manufacturer's preset code.
For additional preset codes pertaining to your remote or controller, please contact the manufacturer of the remote or controller you are using.
